About Me
I have many passions in life, and one of them is reading. But before I tell you about what I love to read, let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Michelle, and my life is constantly revolving. I’m in my 30s, am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, have survived cancer, and love food. I was previously a slave to Corporate America, and have found solace in a less stressful work environment. And while I was born in the Philippines, home will always be California. You see, I have lived up and down the Sunshine State, and you can really call me a California Girl. (Don’t worry, I won’t be upset, I promise.) I live in San Diego now, home of Comic Con, many microbreweries, and my new laid-back lifestyle. I have two children. O, my son and eldest, is almost two and is as energetic as any other two year-old. S, my daughter, is almost two months, and she is cute and very squishable. I also have another child; a Shiba Inu, named Momo, and if you knew me from before, you’ve probably seen her picture a million times.
I read, a lot. I will gladly sacrifice sleep to read a book. My first book love was “Nancy Drew and the Clockwork Tower” by Carolyn Kneene and “Anne of Green Gables” by Lucy Maud Montgomery, and as I grew older, it morphed into “A Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley and “Farenheit 451” by Ray Bradbury. Today, my tastes vary, ranging from Fantasy and Paranormal, to Contemporary and Historicals. Most recently, my tastes have stayed in the Young Adult genre. I find it refreshing to read, and the talent that comes out of that genre? Amazing.
Book Chelle has evolved into something more than I had originally intended. I have become to embrace my writing. And while I may talk about books that I have read, I will share about my life.
