Wow, this week sure has gone by quickly. Well, if I really think about it, the month of June went by quickly. Wasn’t I just posting about how it seems like the start of the summer season is here? June was a great month of events and book releases.
Hello July! Welcome great month of books, summer weather, and holiday of celebrating our nations independence. Speaking of which, we have a long weekend coming up and that means BBQ, fireworks, and time for some reading!
Now, as you get ready to enjoy this long weekend, take a time to visit your local library or bookstore and check out their summer reads. Don’t worry about that long to-do list that will have you aching for another long weekend so soon. This weekend with the high temperatures knocking on the door, you can fire up the grill, have a backyard BBQ, serve some cold beverages, and enjoy a nice book or two. If you want to escape your local city, don’t forget to pack a great book for your car, plane, or train ride!
Me? What am I doing this weekend? There’s a BBQ planned, then the other half and I are attending another BBQ, and maybe watch the fireworks from somewhere in the Gaslamp district. Aside from that, I’m looking forward to reading, the nice weather, and spending some time with Momo. Okay, enough of my babbling, here are my weekend reads. What’s yours?
